For some years now, Samsung has been a leading player that has been manufacturing and launching multiple tablets constantly in the market. In fact, the Galaxy Tab S6 is the latest flagship tablet by Samsung. However, is it offering a good experience at an attractive price? Let’s know all its specifications, design, and features in this extensive review.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 sports a 10.5-inch AMOLED display with a WQXGA resolution (1600x2560 pixels). It’s display has reasonably large bezels all around, which is manageable considering the size of the device. Moreover, you do need some bezels on a tab to grip and hold it without touching the screen.
The tab comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor but isn’t the ultrasonic type seen on the Galaxy S10 series. Alternatively, Samsung Tab S6 employs an optical CMOS sensor, and the AMOLED display lights up around the fingerprint scanner when in use. The power and volume buttons are positioned on the right side, and the microphone hole and the SIM tray to hold one Nano-SIM and a microSD card.
If you want something more powerful and well-features than the Galaxy Tab S5e, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 should be among your top options.
The Galaxy Tab S6 comes with four AKG-tuned speakers, two of which are placed at the top and the other two at the bottom. These speakers are loud enough, and the tab has support for Dolby Atmos. However, it doesn’t have a headphone jack, and there’s no Type-C to 3.5mm dongle in the box either. So, it’s better to use a pair of Bluetooth headphones with this tab.
The tab is sleek with 5.7mm thickness, but it's 7040mAh battery makes it slightly heavy at 420g. When it comes to connectivity, the Samsung Tab S6 comes in Wi-Fi and LTE variants, and it seems that the company has only launched the LTE option in India. The tab has cameras on the front and back, including a dual-camera setup on the rear with a standard camera and an ultrawide option.
It’s unusual that it has no LED flash as it’s something that comes quite handy when using a tab to scan documents. However, the touchscreen supports a stylus, and it also comes with an S Pen stylus in the box.
All in all, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has an elegant hardware with immense horsepower and dynamic features for people on the go. Likewise, the spectacular display and tuned sound profile make the tab an excellent multimedia device. It’s one of those Android tablets that you can buy without breaking your bank. So, if you like to lean back and stream some video on your couch, the Galaxy Tab S6 is an excellent option for that.
