Samsung revealed its second pair of wireless earbuds, well-equipped with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), Galaxy Buds Pro. The latest earbuds blend the excellent characteristics of the Galaxy Buds+ and the Galaxy Buds Live in a single package with standout features. So, are these worth the price? You'll know by the end of this well-prepared Samsung Galaxy Bud Pro review.
When it comes to the design, it's shaped like a tiny treasure chest; there's a concave lid that separates in the middle and flips up. It's pretty compact, which is good as you can easily slip it into your pocket. It reverts to an in-ear/canal-type design that's the same as the Galaxy Buds+. It comes with a status LED on both inside and outside the case that turns green, red and yellow based on how much battery is left in the case.
The Samsung Galaxy Bud Pro is designed to favour ANC as the ear tips offer an extra layer of passive noise cancellation. There are three color options: Phantom Black, Phantom Violet, and Phantom White for you to choose from. Overall, they're unexpectedly comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Moreover, they don't suffer from build-up pressure due to the external vent.
The Samsung Earbuds Pro uses Samsung's proprietary Scalable Audio, which supports UHQ audio streaming over Bluetooth at up to 24-bit/96kHz, and SmartThings Finder. It also comes with a multi-mic recording for you to use the buds as a lapel mic stand-in when you shoot videos on your smartphone. The double-edged sword of these new buds are well-tailored to Samsung devices, but they don't work well with other devices. However, the ANC quality compared to the previous generation is relatively good. Bixby voice wake-up is standard, and so are the touchpad controls and optional ear tips for the Galaxy Buds Pro.
The key benefit is that, if you're searching for rich-featured wireless earbuds that sound good, fit well and are going to function perfectly with your Samsung smartphone, Samsung Buds Pro is a significantly better option. Especially if you don't mind spending a little more than usual.
With the new buds pro, Samsung has finally introduced a flagship true wireless headset that fits up to the current competition. You acquire good sound quality, effective high-end noise cancellation, decent battery life, and a comfortable fit with these earbuds.
Primarily to cater to the demands of people who already have a Samsung smartphone, the new Galaxy Buds Pro provides multipoint pairing, hands-free Bixby support (without Google Assistant) and the Samsung Galaxy wearable app. But, unfortunately, it's only available on Android that you'll need to unlock the bud's excellent features.
So, if you want an excellent wireless experience, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro might be one of the affordable options to achieve it!
