The looks of HP Chromebook 14 are very pleasing and one of its top-selling qualities; it has a slick, slim, and shining silver body which is very stylish and anyone who gets the laptop won’t ever be dissatisfied with its looks. The dimensions of this laptop are; 33.7 in Width, 22.7 in height and 1.8 cm in-depth and the weight of this Chromebook is 1.5 kgs, which is fairly light-weighted. The display screen is a 14-inch HD WLED Backlit Anti-glare SVA Display with 220 nits Brightness, 45% NTSC Colour Gamut, 112 PPI, 82% Screen to Body Ratio. The laptop material is also made up of a Micro Edge Bezel which is 4mm.

The laptop has speakers on both side of the keyboard which is of the same charcoal grey colour as the rest of the laptop and is a bit raised. The back also has the classic HP logo, the laptop has the Micro SD Card slot, Audio jack port, USB Type C Port, and the USB Type 3.1 A port on the right side. On the left, it has a USB Type C port, the Power button, and the volume button. There are three different models for this laptop; Charcoal Gray, Silver and Blue. All of them are stylish and great looking but the blue one is definitely the most eye-catching one. Overall, the looks are amazing.


The HP Chromebook 14 has the Intel Celeron N4020 processor which is clocked at 1.1 GHz base frequency but could go up to 2.6 GHz burst frequency, it also has 4 MB L2 cache and 2 cores. The operating system is Chrome OS, it has a base memory of 4 GB RAM LPDDR4-2400 SDRAM, and the storage of 64 GB eMMC + 100GB Cloud + 256GB expandable. The graphic processor for the laptop is Intel UHD Graphics 600, which is a fairly good graphics processor.

The laptop also comes with pre-installed apps such as; Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, YouTube, Google Photos, Google Web Store, Google Hangouts, and Google Maps. You also have access to many other apps through Google Appstore where you can download any other apps you would like to add to your laptop.

The laptop is basic and will not support hard-core gaming or coding as it does not have the processing power for it, but you can do any document-related work (Word, Excel, Power-Point), watch movies or videos, or surf any social media easily and smoothly. The Audio for this laptop is powered by B&O and it has Dual speakers.

The webcam is HP Wide Vision HD Camera with an integrated dual array digital microphone and it also has an HP Image pad with multi-touch gesture support. The connectivity options for this laptop are; Bluetooth-V5.0, Wi-Fi, 802.11b, 802.11g. The battery life is also great and is of 47.36 Watt/Hours and lasts you up to 12 hours in use and it also supports Fast Charging. It has pre-installed software such as; G-suite Apps, Built-in Google Assistant, HP Audio Switch, HP ePrint, and the HP Support Assistant.

Final Opinion

The HP Chromebook 14 is a great buy for any working or studying individual, you can surf the web and social media and watch videos and Stream all you want with this laptop but you can’t do anything more taxing such as; games with heavy-graphics, it will simply not support it. But if you use your laptop for work or things such as online classes, it will work great and smoothly.

The resolution quality could be better, but its a touchscreen so that’s a plus point and it is fairly fast while Power on and close down the laptop. The battery life and looks are also really great, all of these features coming at a low price of Rs. 24, 999, is hard to find in any other company. The laptop is a great budget laptop that would not leave you dissatisfied.
