Mi Notebook 14 is a sleek and slim thing, which glimmers an attractive silver colour. It is quite thin with dimensions of; 32.3 cm in width, 22.8 cm in height and, 1.8 cm in depth. It is also fairly light weighted and comes at 1.50 kgs, perfect to pick up and easily carry along with you without getting tired at all. The display is a 14-inch Full HD LED Backlit Anti-glare Display with an Aspect ratio of 16:9 and it has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 Pixels. The top of the Notebook 12 is completely blank with no label or logo that most laptop’s usually display, there is a small MI logo at the bottom of the display screen, which makes it stand out from the rest. The laptop has a glossy look that is very pleasing and stylish.

Mi Notebook 14 has two Type-A USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one HDMI port, one Combo Audio jack port, and a DC-Jack. The keyboard is Scissor Mechanism ABS Texture with 1.3mm key travel and 19mm pitch per key. The pointer device is a Multi-touch Trackpad and all of these features work smoothly and efficiently, the keyboard doesn’t make any noise and the mouse works very smoothly, the only thing that could have made the deal even better is if the keyboard was backlit, there are laptops with the same price range as MI Notebook 14 that do come with backlit keyboards. But all in all, the look of this laptop is classy and doesn’t leave you dissatisfied.

Mi Notebook 2 comes in three configurations of intel core Processor; Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7, all of which are 10th Generation. The Core i7 is exclusive to Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, which is a great laptop. This review would be based on the Core i5 10th Generation Processor. Although, if one has to choose between all these models, I would advise you to pick Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, as it is a newer model and comes with amazing features and is probably one the best laptops under the price range of Rs. 60,000. However, all these models are mostly similar with minor changes such as the configuration of the processor and the addition of different GPUs in the models.

The Core i5 model comes with the GPU NVIDIA GeForce MX25O or Intel UHD 620 and the price also differs with what configuration of memory and storage you are buying. The model with the memory and storage 512GB SSD + 8GB with GPU Nvidia MX250 comes at the price of Rs. 49,999. The model with the memory and storage of 512GB SSD + 8GB and GPU of Intel UHD 620 comes at the price of Rs 46,999. The model with the memory and storage of 256GB SSD + 8GB and GPU of Intel UHD 620 comes at the Price of Rs. 43,999. The clock speed for the laptop is the base speed of 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.2 GHz, which fairly fast and strong.

The operating system is Windows Home and the connectivity technology it has is Wireless LAN: IEEE 802.11ac, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth-V5. It has built-in dual speakers and a built-in microphone, the technology for the Audio is Stereo Speakers with DTS Audio Processing and the webcam is 720p HD Webcam. The battery for this laptop is not bad either with lithium-ion batteries with the power of 46 Watt per hour which lasts you up to 10 hours. The laptop also has the new software, Mi Blaze Unlock which would let you unlock your Notebook with a Mi Band and it can also do features such as; Mi Smart Share.

Final Opinion

Mi Notebook 14 is certainly one of the best laptops available that is under the price of Rs. 60,000. It has great features and amazing looks, something that is making it become a crowd favourite. It’s certainly is making it stand out among its competitor. Did Xiaomi make an impact with its laptops?

Absolutely. It has everything an average working person or student would need and more. The only problem would be, it might not be able to play heavy graphics games or do heavy-duty stuff such as; coding. But for an average person, Mi Notebook 14 laptop is perfect. It’s fast, it’s efficient and it looks really good. The Horizon Edition especially is a gem, that will only cost you Rs. 54,999. You can’t go wrong with this laptop, so you might as well give it a try.
