Apple MacBook M1 Review

Apple launched two new laptops with the new M1 processor and the Apple MacBook M1 is one of them. The new processor has given the MacBook a longer battery life and new and improved features. This is the first time Apple has dabbled into making their own processing system for MacBooks, as before they used to be powered by Intel.

But now with their M1 processor, it can be said it has not let anyone down. But instead, people look forward to the new MacBook for their new longer battery life. Apple used to get a lot of flack for their low battery life but this MacBook solves that problem and leaves them amazed at the span of the battery and the faster and better performance in general.

Apple MacBook Air M1 comes in three different colours; silver, gold and space grey. The new addition of gold definitely makes it different from other MacBooks, although the design remains remarkably the same. It comes in 13.3 inch LED-backlit display screen and also has a Touch ID sensor. Although not as slim as other laptops that are available right now, it is still thin and is light-weighted.

The keyboard of MacBook M1 is Backlit Magic and the features also include, 78 (U.S.) or 79 (ISO) keys including 12 function keys and 4 arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement, it also has a Ambient light sensor and also the Force Touch trackpad for precise cursor control and pressure-sensing capabilities; enables Force clicks, accelerators, pressure-sensitive drawing, and Multi-Touch gestures. All in all, it looks pretty similar to MacBook Air and so you can guess as an Apple MacBook it looks very stylish.

The Apple MacBook M1 has an all new operating system of macOs, Apple's first attempt at an operating system for their laptops and it works wonderfully. It has an eight-core processor (CPU) and a seven-core graphics processor (GPU), with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but an eight-core GPU option is available. The performance of MacBook M1 laptop is fast and really smooth.

The Retina display of MacBook M1 is 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology; 2560-by-1600 native resolution at 227 pixels per inch with support for millions of colours, it is supported scaled resolutions: 1680 by 1050, 1440 by 900 and 1024 by 640. The battery life is really good and it could last you up to 18 hours. The only available ports on the device are two Thunderbolt / USB-4 ports on the left and one AUX port on the right. It also has a Touch ID on top right side. The camera is a bit better than the previous models and has the configuration of 720p FaceTime HD camera.

Apple MacBook M1 Audio system has features such as; Stereo speakers, Wide stereo sound, Support for Dolby Atmos playback, , Three-mic array with directional beamforming and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The video Support Configuration simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at millions of colours, and one external display with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz. The Thunderbolt 3 digital video output gives you Native DisplayPort output over USB-C, VGA, HDMI, DVI, and Thunderbolt 2 output supported using adapters which you would have to buy separately. The audio and the display of the Apple MacBook M1 is, as expected of an Apple MacBook, splendid.

Final Opinion

If you are a fan of Apple products and want to buy a laptop with great battery life and amazing specs, go for the MacBook Air M1. Home, office, student life, gaming or even for graphic designing, this laptop gives you top-notch performance. It may come a little costly for most with the price being Rs. 92,900. It’s still fairly cheap when compared to the previous models when they were launched. My conclusion is that Apple MacBook M1 is a good buy for you as the performance will not disappoint you.

Writing something, that challenges someone's perspective or views is something I aspire to do. I wish to make impactful and lasting words that will ascribe in the minds of the reader and aspire them to think upon or deepen their perspective on their world views.
